CARMICHAEL CANADIAN LANDSCAPE EXHIBITION August 7, 2014

Reception: Thursday August 7, 2014, 7–9pm
CANADA–WIDE JURIED ART EXHIBITION
Named after the Orillia–born Group of Seven affiliate, the annual Carmichael Canadian Landscape Exhibition has become one of the most respected Landscape—themed shows in Canada.
The Orillia Museum of Art and History (OMAH) put out a call to artists, encouraging submissions that embraced, challenged or otherwise addressed existing artistic approaches to Canadian landscape. This year's jury, once again, received a record number of works and has delivered the most diverse, multi-medial and challenging show in the Exhibition's history.
Be sure to come on opening night for a great party and the presentation of the $2000 Lakehead Juror’s Prize, determined by artist Charles Pachter and curator Noa Bronstein. Stay a while to vote for the Dr. Robert Bennett People’s Choice Award and see some exceptionally skillful, challenging and downright beautiful work.
